Delimitation of the Madrid Acoustical Area

Madrid City Council has developed the Madrid Acoustical Area, complying with Royal Decree 1513/2005, developing the Noise Law (Law 37/2003).
This map is designed to comply with the requirements of EU legislation and of the Noise Law.
The delimitation of the Madrid Acoustical Area was finally approved by the City Council on 23 December 2009.

This access will be available for an unlimited period.
Legal basis
Environmental noise is currently regulated by the Noise Law (Law 37/2003, 17 November) and the regulations developed from it by Royal Decrees 1513/2005 and 1367/2007, Decree 78/1999 regulating the protection against noise pollution in the Region of Madrid, and at the municipal level, by the Regulations to Protect the Atmosphere against Pollution by Energy Forms.
Procedures
Article 7 of Decree 78/1999, 27 May, regulating the protection against noise pollution in the Region of Madrid, states the following.
City Council departments are responsible for delimiting the areas of acoustic sensitivity.
Everything proposed for inclusion in the municipal Web site must be undertaken by 23 December 2009 and must be maintained for an unlimited period. 
This includes the files of the Madrid Acoustical Area in PDF format.
The "Related links" section providing access to the announcement published in the regional official bulletin on the initial approval of the Delimitation of the Madrid Acoustical Area must be replaced with the new announcement of its final approval in the bulletin.
